Melissa Swilley
Melissa Swilley, a seventeen year veteran in the financial services industry, brings credibility and leadership to an ever changing IT hardware industry. Having experience in an industry that changes at an aggressive pace, proves experience is priceless. After receiving a BBA from Belhaven College in 1992 along with a Major in Business Administration and a minor in Accounting. Melissa entered the professional world in 1991. As assistant controller at Prassel Lumber, Swilley helped guide $40 million in annual sales. In 1999, Melissa was hired as CFO for Hazlehurst Lumber, a company focused on restructuring internal operations and streamlining customer and vendor transactions. By the summer of 2000, Melissa rebuilt all internal accounting operations and increased cash flow. As a result of success with Hazlehurst Lumber, Swilley was presented with multiple opportunities in other industries outside the world of lumber. The year 2006 introduced the world of technology. Phoenix Communications, a leader in VoIP, was experiencing tremendous growth and was in search of a person with Swilley’s financial whereabouts. Swilley joined the Phoenix team and retained CFO status. Immediately managing annual sales of $40 million, Swilley implemented new philosophies and increased performance levels. Now that AO Communications is part of the Atlantix Global Systems framework, Swilley will be responsible for blending her financial background into a operations role. Swilley has the knowledge to integrate across multiple platforms. In 2008, Swilley will be responsible for restructuring warehouse operations, rebuilding operation logistics and polishing the refurbing product. Swilley is excited about the ability to utilize the resources that Atlantix Global Systems has to offer. The fact that Atlantix is passionate about creating the ultimate life-cycle experience is an attractive incentive to implement programs.
